Ladies Section
The Ladies have been an established part of St Neots Golf Club since 1892 and it is recorded that they have managed their own competitions since 1906. Along with the longevity of the Ladies Section, there is a long history of St Neots’ ladies winning many of the county’s prestigious golf trophies including the Jean Wilkinson, Grace Norman and the Mary Cole Rose Bowl. They are contended for with enthusiasm and determination today.
We have over 60 lady members and all members, old and new, are encouraged to enter competitions. There are some 20 Cups and Trophies that are played for, in addition we have monthly medals, stablefords, fun competitions, socials, matches against other clubs and mixed fixtures. We have ladies willing to mark cards for ladies without handicaps and to help them become an intricate part of the Ladies section. For those Ladies that are just starting their golfing adventure and those who would rather not play a full 18 holes, we organise many Nine-hole competitions and these nine-hole competitions can also count towards attaining and maintaining your golf handicap.
